I think there is a very interesting voice speaking up against OOP - on "Object Oriented Programming Oversold!" you get something to read which is probably pretty unpopular in certain circles. In short they state that OOP is not the solution for every problem. Also they offer a challenge to programmers to prove that they are wrong.

I must admit that especially my recent actionscript experiences with the Steering Behaviors do not make me OOPs biggest fan.
