A little Google API widget

This is a little tool I just hacked together. It uses the google api to search for a certain phrase and then present the results. I think this could be quite useful inside a weblog, because you can dynamically add the query depending on the article. The backend is written in PHP and I use some SOAP functions written by Sebastian Bergmann. You will have to download his PEAR SOAP classes to make the thing work.

Download the flash source and the PHP files here.

Hmmm, it doesn't seem to work here. It just gets stuck in "Searching Google for 'google api'. :-(

Do you mean it doesn't work on my page or if you install it on your server?

I think it is a problem with the paths - it only works on the index page, but it does not work on the archive pages. I'll fix that.
