The Making of 5K Chess

On webreference.com you can find an interview with Douglas Bagnall, the author of a 5K chess game which is among the entries in this year's 5K Award. He talks about the development process, how he got the whole thing down to 5k and what strategies the game follows. Very interesting read.

This is one of the most impressive Javascript chess programs I have seen. It could be done more justice with better graphics, but the engine is amazing considering the size of the program!
