Playing with SimBEOS

I don't know how this little experiment will behave on your browser, probably it will not work at all in anything but Explorer 6 on Windows. If it works right there should be a very primitive looking ball with eyes chasing your mouse...

This thing uses a little bit of SimBEOS and some DHTML, I guess that i might even need the latest beta of the Flash plugin.

Too Boring? Now imagine this being an ad, annoyingly sliding under your mousepointer... Probably some cheesy banner agency will come up with something like this very soon and sell it as some super-patented sure-o-click-o-matic© technology. Damn - another chance to become rich has passed.

i already saw a few adbanners like this from big agencies.
Sure they are going to put it everywhere when it's worldwide compatible.
this is going to become serious...nightmare !
but with all these window/languages communication tips, perhaps we can also make dhtml ad killers ( implemented in a frame on the page.)

Imagine yourself playing doom with ads...

Pretty annoying, but still quite impressive (I sneaked a look at your AS with ASV).

The only fault is that you are using document coordinates, but not considering the amount of scroll...

Yes, it seems like the "scrollx" and "scrolly" coordinates are not returning the proper values. I'll see if that can be fixed. On the other hand - it's an easy way of getting rid of that annoying dot.

Very annoying - had to click eleven times through a helpful screen asking me to update my Flash Player, (I will, just not right now, thank you).

and yes, started seeing some very similar things on my travels through internetworld.

reckon David is right, must kill them now, before they grow stronger!!
