Happy New Year!

Hello everybody! After quite a long pause I'm back at the keyboard and you know what - I'm feeling dumb... I've read somewhere that during holidays your IQ drops by a reasonable amount due to the reduced challenges for your brain, looks like I've received the full package. Instead of using the spare time of the last week for experiments and exploration I was soooo lazy - it's frightening.

But it looks like others weren't:

Aral Balkan has started What is Flash? an community attempt to once and for all define what Flash really is before banner agencies do it for us. Join in and contribute your voice to the Flash Manifesto!

Nominations for the Flashforward 2003 Film Festival awards are running until January 27 and I could spot the new "Application" category. I wonder if the term "Film Festival" is still valid in these times, as of the 15 categories only "Cartoon" and "Video" look like films to me.

Josh Dura offers his updated Text Editor component for download - a great piece of work.

On Flashcoders there was an interesting thread about exporting DrawingAPI shapes to other formats and there are two nice solutions. One by Helen Triolo which creates SVG format. The other by Gregg Wygonik which produces EPS output.
