Lightwave

I'm sorry for the current lack of updates on this site, but one reason is that I'd been struck with a nice full-featured influenca which knocked me out for a few days. The other reason is that I'm currently buried in regular something-must-pay-the-rent jobs which leave little to no room for leisure programming.

So instead of content, here is a little commercial break to show you something that my company coma2 just released: the german site for Lightwave Communications, of course done in Flash MX. I would call the overall theme "As close as you can get to HTML but with all the pros that Flash has to offer". The site is controlled by a CMS, but the english version is still in translation, so there you'll only find the old stuff (which we didn't do).

On the site you posted, lightwave.de there's a typo in the main logo (top left) It says:
LightwaveCommuncation
instead of
LightwaveCommunication

(ha ha)
Anyway... :-)

Wow that's REALLY embarrassing! Looks like I have to fire the guy who made that mistake. Unfortunately he is one of my partners...

But isn't that amazing - dozens of people look at this site and you are the first to notice it.

I was just wondering why you chose to load each link individually through html. Are there multiple flash movies for each menu item? Couldn't you just change the content like framse as opposed to reloading everything each renav.

What html are you referring to? The whole site is built in flash. Certain reloads are necessary due to the CMS-based nature of the site.
