geoTracker 1.0

How's the weather in Tokio? I have no idea, but Marcos Weslamp has. He has built a cool graphical multiuser application called geoTracker based on his Zoompane Component which allows you to check the weather all around the world. To achieve this, it connects to several webservices and determines your geographical location through your IP adress. A nice thing about it is that you can see what other visitors are doing at at the same time.

I guess this concept could be expanded to more than just weather - let's see if he will add more functionality in version 1.1...

Interesting, but the precision for german ips could be better. i have seen a german service named geolizer http://www.geolizer.de that is commercial, but has a demo account for 10 requests per day,
cheers, gerald

addendum: it has a precision of <50km for german IPs, IPs in other countries are only assigned to the country.
