Easter is just round the corner, so I was looking for some formulas to construct a perfect egg-shape.

On my research I came across EggMath which is an educational site that uses eggs to demonstrate a lot of mathematical topics.

A more condensed collection of egg-related curves can be found at Mathematische Basteleien, but some of the explanations are in german.

Finally there is another beautiful way to construct eggs by means of "Path Curves". This is demonstrated here.

I hope that my time allows me to take some of this inspiration to flash and create some kick-ass 3D easter-egg painting application. But if someone's faster - please post a link in the comments.
