Create Your Own Pixel Fonts

I do not often advertise commercial tools, but here is one I think is worth it, especially as I was waiting for something like this for a long time: SimpleFont allows you to create your own pixel fonts. Have you ever tried to create a pixelfont with Fontographer or similar tools? It's no fun. Why? Because a pixel font wants to be drawn pixel by pixel and not line by line. Here comes SimpleFont which allows you to work just like that - pixel by pixel. If you want you can work with its vector tools, too of course. You can import bitmaps and trace them. You can add missing chars to existing pixel fonts. When you're ready you will get a full featured TrueType font which you can use in Flash or any other program. And as Program Product the company that made SimpleFont is from Hungary they took special care to support any international font encoding you can imagine.

The price for the full-version is just 39 Euro (ca. US$45), but check out the trial version first.
