Yamago Upload Component Update
Mathieu from Yamago has transfered their very useful Flash file upload component YamzBrowser to Sourceforge and at the same time did some updates and bug-fixes. The great thing about YamzBrowser is that this component works with a lot of browsers as well on Macs as on PCs:
- PC Windows with Mozilla 1.2+, IE5.5+, NN7+, Phoenix beta 5, FireBird, FireFox
- Mac Os9 and OSX with Mozilla 1.2+, IE5+, NN6+, Chimera 1+, Camino, FireBird, fireFox

ah shucks- all those browsers but no Safari? Oh well- nice to see the update.
french! there's french in the codes! got! :(
Hi Kann,
You're right, the comments are in french and it's why I make this project an open project on sourceforge, to make it translate and evolve quickly.
If some of you help me to translate this component, it could be in a lot of language :)
Well, fine... But it's not working right in Mozilla, is it? Any idea how to work around this or does anybody know another solution? Does anybody know if it's possible at all with Mozilla?
Cheers, Kiko
i.e. Mozilla 1.7, that's what I got ;)
K.
I have a big flash mx 2004 pro project and want to integrate this component... put it refuses to work in flash 7 as 2.
How can I make it work?
thanks in advance!
Are there any other ways of doing this in Flash ?
For antother solution you will have to wait until Flash 8 (Codename 8ball) comes out. Rumor has it that it natively will support file uploads.
Hi, I am a Flash programer which comes from China.Do you have a manual or documents that describe how to use the yamzbrowser component?Thank you very much!
When I try to install yamzbrowser_1_2b_en.mxp, the extensions manager informs me that the file is not compatible with my version of the extension manager. I have the latest version. Any ideas on a solution to this?
yamzbrowser is weak, buggy and horribly documented. It is a great concept and almost works... but needs to be perfected. I shouldn't be complaining, but thats my experience with it. There has to be an easier way than with all iframes and weird css positioning that it hinges on to work.
And the supported browsers listed above are incorrect. Go and try the actual yamago example in all those. peace.
like aspirin99 ( kenny) it fails when trying to install the extension.
Same version.
No idea what happens.
