The Return Of The 5k Award

Finally the 5k Award is back. This year it will be hosted by SIGGRAPH 2004. What a great chance to demonstrate to the international nerd society the power of Flash. Build something amazing in 5120 bytes? What other tool is out there that could compete with Flash in this aspect? So even if the exact submission dates are not yet set I recommend you to start coding now - I'm sure that this year it will be a tough competition...

We are talking about 5120 BYTES not 5120 k, so unfortunately you will not get very far with Processing in this competition.

Na? You don't happen to be a slashdotter? Or where did you get your precise knowledge about Flash? Even in 2001 when there was no gzip compression supported by Flash I did some PONG with it in under 5k: http://entries.the5k.org/288/5kpong.html

again and again the same prejudices about flash. And isn't it easy enough to realize, its even in the name:

swf = small web format.
